Thinking about cosmetic aesthetics?

Here's a few things to help you...

If you've been thinking about it.
Maybe for a while.

Whether you're brand new to aesthetics or just want to understand what they can help - this may be a guide for you.

What are cosmetic aesthetics?

Cosmetic aesthetics (previously widely known as 'injectables') is a broad term covering several treatment categories, each working differently and targeting different concerns.

At Aestetic, we offer many aesthetic treatments - and knowing the difference helps you walk into a consultation with an understanding of what may best for you.

Most commonly asked for are fine lines / wrinkles, volume replacement and bio-remodelling, which we'll touch on for you below!

Find what might suit you...

This isn't a diagnosis - but it's a starting point. Do one of these categories sound like what you're noticing?

A few questions we hear a lot...

Why can't I see treatment names on the booking system?

All cosmetic injectables are Schedule 4 prescription medicines, governed by the TGA.

That means they legally require a prescription from a qualified medical practitioner before any treatment can take place - and we can't advertise them the way you might see other services promoted.

The good news? We can consult and treat on the same day if you're suitable.

Book your complimentary consultation and we'll take care of everything from there!

Why is there no before and after photos?

As a cosmetic clinic operating under Australian guidelines, we're not able to share before and after images publicly.

What we can do is talk you through real outcomes honestly during your consultation - so you know exactly what's achievable for you specifically.

Will I look overdone?

Not with the right approach.

Our philosophy is always enhancement - a little, done well.

When it's done well, people won't pinpoint what's changed.

Does it hurt?

Most people describe it as uncomfortable rather than painful.

Very fine needles are used; or other options like cannula which reduces discomfort significantly.

Many pain management avenues can be utilised to keep you comfortable.

What if I don't like the result?

Muscle relaxants wear off naturally over 3-4 months.

Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved sooner if needed.

We'll always talk through this with you at your consultation.

How do I know what I actually need?

Honestly - a consultation.

A good cosmetic nurse will look at your anatomy, your skin, and what you're hoping to achieve before recommending anything.

That's exactly what we pride ourselves in at Aestetic.

You've found your people...

Aestetic is a Mackay skin and aesthetics clinic built on the belief that self-care goes beyond the surface.

Our cosmetic nurses bring genuine clinical expertise and a no-pressure approach to every consultation. We'll never recommend more than you need - and we'll always make sure you leave understanding exactly what we did and why and a plan for your future journey!

This is your face...
